Staff Kudos ~ Esther McKinley, Debra Schaefer, Calandra Bradford, Bill McMichael, Mike White

“Just a note to let you know how great your staff is, I came to CareerSource for help with unemployment and Esther McKinley help me apply for unemployment, she was great. .Debra Schaefer also helped along the way and was most sensitive to my situation. Calandra Bradford and Bill at Clearwater classes were just the greatest. I’m most grateful to Mike White who advised me and directed me to your service. I landed a job with Pinellas County Schools in plant operations, which as you can see with my bad-bad-bad- computer skills is prefect match…Thank you all so very much.” – Robert Albenzio

Careersource Pinellas Receives Duke Energy/Tampa Bay Rays Partnership Grant to Support Veteran Services

20160925_125923-1At the September 25th Tampa Bay Rays game, Jennifer Brackney, Director of Special Projects, and Natalija Dolsak, Veterans’ Jobs and Benefits Supervisor, received a $10K Victories for Veterans grant.

For every game the Rays won this season, the Duke Energy Foundation committed to contribute $1,000 to charities that support veterans in our community. The funding requests were so impactful; Duke Energy went above and beyond and is investing $90,600 in 10 area non-profits.

The implementation of this initiative is in direct response to the needs of veterans who are seeking and are in need of transitional supportive services. The Victories for Veterans funding will allow the CareerSource Pinellas to serve a greater number of our local veterans.

Thank you, Duke Energy Foundation and the Tampa Bay Rays!
