Fall Camp at The Science Center

Fall Camp at The Science Center

It’s not too early to start thinking about Fall Camp!

Many of our job-seekers and employers might need some extra time to stuff the bird, clean the house, roast some chestnuts or just prepare for Turkey Day, so The Science Center provides STEM fun and fall activities to youth K-6 during fall break, November 19-21 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with before and after care available.

This is an excellent opportunity to link our community members to The Science Center and the Tyrone One-Stop Center. Registration is available online or through this packet. Flyers can be found here or under the “Marketing/Communications” tab under “The Science Center.”

Helping Veterans Become Resume Ready

Helping Veterans Become Resume Ready

Good morning, CSPIN staff members,

Next month, we will be hosting a plethora of veterans-related activities in honor of Veterans Day and the Paychecks for Patriot initiative.  Part of our services will include assisting veterans on updating and preparing their resumes prior to the Veterans & General Public Career Fair on Nov. 14.  Please spread news of this free service throughout our centers and community via word-of-mouth, social media or sharing this flyer.  For additional resources for the career fair, please visit the “Job Fair” page here on the Intranet.

Thank you!

With recent transitions to the marketing staff, we would like to ensure that all flyers on the Intranet are up to date.  If you see a flyer that is outdated, has the incorrect contact information, includes CareerSource Tampa Bay logos/information or is no longer relevant, please email Linsey Stiglic at lstiglic@careersourcepinellas.com with the correct, updated flyer and the Intranet location of the flyer.

Thank you.

Hurricane Michael

Hurricane Michael

Good Morning,

We wanted to make everyone aware that we are currently monitoring Hurricane Michael and will keep everyone updated with the latest information.  Your safety is our priority.  CareerSource Pinellas offices and centers close when Pinellas County Government decides to close down their operations.  Usually closures of the county office are announced on local TV stations and posted on their website at www.PinellasCounty.org.

Other resources for information will be our website: www.careersourcepinellas.com and your Supervisor.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you,

Jennifer Brackney

In Area 4 there are 12 different VR office locations, see attached Area 4 Unit List for information on all locations to select the closest one for your customer.  The referral form is a fillable document so you can enter information electronically or print it out and hand write information.

The process requires our staff to fill out the referral form and then direct the customer to attend an orientation session.  If the customer cannot attend the orientation, they contact the VR office and request an appointment to meet with a counselor.
